Te Wāhi Toi/The Arts Place exists to connect the creative community of Queenstown and Wānaka with audiences, students, teachers, spaces and each other. We are a not-for-profit organisation powered by Three Lakes Cultural Trust and inspired by local arts and culture.
Studio 42 jewellery studio in Country Lane is all set up with everything you need for goldsmithing, hobby making and contemporary jewellery.
We offer short and long-term bench hire, including a key to use the studio 24/7
The studio is fully equipped with lots of tools, including sand casting equipment, hot torches for melting down ingots, a roller mill, polishers and tumblers as well as 4 bench spaces to hire separate from the aria Jess teaches in.
The studio is warm and cozy and has lovely coffee in the surrounding cafes as well as a flow of the Queenstown jewellery community coming through the studio.
Founder Jessica Winchcombe can settle you in and show you how everything works, and then you can get making.

Included - power, basic equipment like gas, dremel, roller mill, acid, flux and metal working tools are included.
Not included is the stone-cutting equipment.
You will need to provide solder, metal, any making materials you use, saw blades, and favourite files (as ours can often be a bit worn out by the students)
If you intend to display or sell your jewellery at Studio 42, this is possible, but a different discussion.
